Beauty and The Beast – Diptych, 200 x 200 cm, Collage and Oil on Canvas

His series, Indelible Marks, which involves a combination of different techniques, patterns and prints. There is juxtaposition between the dark, gloomy little girl to the vibrant, dynamic, backdrop. She is frail and broken. Unable to speak, she tries to relay a message on how we are all broken someway, somehow. We all go through which yet one must not forget about the beauty that lies beyond. The attention is drawn towards what surrounds. There are beautiful elements in the background – butterflies, flowers – these symbols of life and of hope.

Tombolini has widely exhibited both in Europe as well as in the United States for more than twenty years.
He the only Venetian artist present at the exhibition as part of the “Global Art Affairs Foundation Team.”

In 2013 He participated in the “Personal structures: Time, Space and Existence, part of the official 55th Venice Biennale.
