ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Heart Sutra series
The Heart Sutra series continue to explore the elements of the material world and spiritual world. In this series the contrast of natural forms and man-made buildings are more prominent. During my last visit to Iceland I was inspirited by the entrancing natural landscape: the volcanoes, lava fields, lava black sanded beach, glaciers, waterfalls, geysers and the blue hot spring. Contrasting those natural forms with Hong Kong dramatic city skylines and buildings.
Each painting from this series has Heart Sutra written on or hidden between layers inside the paintings. The words of the heart sutra in some of the paintings have been turned into the shape of Crowd, tabbing into crowd psychology and exploring mass consciousness.
